LATEST NEWS LETTER

12/17  Greetings dear friends and beaders,

Just a quick one tonight....

We will be open regular hours all week, and from 10-2 on Saturday the 24th, so you can come in for last minute beads and plants, or send your loved ones in for a gift or gift certificate!  The garden is stocked with lovely plants and pots, garden stakes and garden art, and the shop is full of beads and handmade necklaces, earrings, and bracelets.  And of course we can make things for you, if you let us know soon!  I will also be having another delivery of Pashmina scarves come in Tuesday--normally $18, but mention this email and get them for $15.

I want to thank you all for your support and kindness throughout the year.  I know beads and plants are "extras" in life, but they warm the heart and soul, fulfill the creative impulses we have, help us feel productive and nurturing and allow us to make small bits of beauty in a sometimes crazy world.  It feels good to make things and grow things, doesn't it?

Hold your loved ones close this season, and if you can, be with friends, smile at a stranger, give someone a second chance.  Listen to a happy story, watch a tender movie, say something nice about someone!

And keep making (and growing) beautiful things!

Happy holidays to all,

Susan and Helen
(and Shop Kitty too!)

Happy December everyone!  Let's hope 2011 goes out with peace, friendship and good fortune for all.  Meanwhile, we have classes and new products at the shop.

We have lots of new leather cording in beautiful colors, new jade beads from Afghanistan, old Roman glass beads, American turquoise, lots of holiday beads and charms, and much more!  I also got some really interesting rough garnet, pink and green tourmaline, and peridot beads from an Afghan bead seller.  As always, if you don't need a full strand (14" or more) we can sell you a half strand!

Helen has some beautiful new succulents which are all ready to bloom!
And she has a great selection of "mud men"--the wise looking clay Chinese figures which make a great addition to a potted plant or bonsai, or simply as a harmonious addition to your desk or shelf.  She also has made more of her hyper-tufa pots for sale.  If you want to bring a favorite bowl, cup, or other container in to have Helen drill the bottom and create a planter for you, she can do that too!  Give a living gift, or a beautiful garden decoration.  Also, due to popular demand, Helen has gotten in more of the clear glass hanging terrariums balls in different sizes.  Buy one for plants, votive candles, dried flowers--anything you want!  Fill one with candy and hang it on the tree!

I'm sure there is more to tell, but I'll keep this short.  Call us at 805-772-3338 for more information.  And remember to "Like" us on Facebook for more pictures and special deals!  Hope to see you all soon,
